• Summary:This report provides a scientific analysis of the trapping data collected during Phase 2 of the Hebridean Mink Project (2007-2014) in order to optimise the amount that can be learned about what has happened to the mink population of the Outer Hebrides during the project. It utilises a hierarchical statistical model based on capture histories of mink caught in four habitat types over three seasons. It provides a distribution of likely times to extinction and examines how the findings can be applied more widely and in future mink control schemes elsewhere in areas where similar habitats are occupied by mink.
