Accessibility Statement

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website and we have tried to create a website with simple and clear design and content.

We have built in accessibility from the start of the project, running regular access checks and carrying out access user testing with assistive technology users during site development.

New regulations came into force for public sector bodies on 23 September 2018 which state that public sector websites and mobile apps must be more accessible by making them ‘perceivable, operable, understandable and robust’. The full name of the regulations is the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

As part of our service provision to all our users, we are currently reviewing our site to check how far it meets international accessibility standards outlined in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1), by carrying out an access audit and using an automated validator to check the site and content.

We will continue to identify any accessibility issues and to prioritise solutions for any issues found. In the meantime, if you have any queries related to the accessibility of the site please contact us at enquiries@nature.scot
